Sending an Alert Message

The alerting system is used to send SMS text and voice messages. The Send Text / Voice Alert page displays Default Groups (based on user's organization type), Custom Groups, and ability to Search by Name.

How to Send a Message

  1. Select Recipient: user has 3 options to find and select recipients
    1. Select checkbox next to group name to select all recipients in group
    2. Click the group name to view recipients. Select recipients individually
    3. Search by Name: enter first or last name and click Search. System will return recipients based on user's permission.
  2. Write Message: enter message in text area.
  3. Send Message: Click Send Message. User will be forwarded to My Sent Messages List and will receive a confirmation message that message was successfully sent.

Custom Groups

User may create a Custom Group for quick access during an incident.
